Come and join us at the Feilding Civic Centre on Sunday the 14th of June for a day of entertaining music from bands throughout the Central and Lower North Island. General Admission Public admission prices have been set low at $2 adult $1 children, due to generous sponsorship again from CCNZ. (Band people in uniform - no charge, with seating priority given to the public) Bandspeople may get 'hand stamped' while in uniform if they wish to change into more casual clothing and have free entry later on. It is sincerely hoped that all participants will take the opportunity to hear and support their fellow musicians. All musicians love an audience! Food Our kiosk will be providing tea & coffee, soft drinks and hot & cold food. Order of Bands

Adjudicator: Ken Dye 
Kenneth W. Dye is a graduate of the University of Houston, where he holds a Doctorate in Music Education and a Master's in Business Administration. He also holds a Master of Arts in Music from California State University and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Southern California. As a composer/arranger, Ken Dye serves as a staff writer for several publishers and most recently served as composer/arranger for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Band and pops arranger for the Dallas Symphony. His writing activities have produced over 800 works for band and orchestra that have been performed throughout the U.S. Most recently, he premiered 3 commissioned works during the Notre Dame Concert Band's tour to New Zealand/Australia and conducted a "sold out" concert in the Sydney Opera House. In addition Dye serves as a concurrent professor of Computer Applications. His course "Music Through Technology" studies the historical influence of technology on the creative process of music. Presently, Dr. Dye is developing a new course entitled "The Business of Music", a synergistic history of music and business. Before coming to Notre Dame, Dr. Dye served as Director of Bands at Rice University for 17 years and as Conductor of the Houston Concert Band 14 years. In addition to his experience in Texas, he was Director of Bands at the State University of West Georgia, Assistant Band Director for the 1984 Olympics, and taught public high school in Lakewood, California. He has also served as director of the Opening Ceremonies of the U.S. Olympic Festival and the All-American College Band at Disney World. Ken Dye serves as music director of numerous special events, and clinician/adjudicator throughout North America and the South Pacific.
